Intramurals
Delta Chi remains one of the most competitive fraternities on campus when it comes to intramural sports. We participate in every sport GT has to offer (football, basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, dodgeball, etc.) and our teams consistently make it to playoffs or further.
Although many of our teams are competitive, our brothers understand the purpose of playing intramural sports is to have fun and to strengthen our bond. For this reason, Delta Chi also participates in “C league” sports, which are teams made up of people who care less about winning/losing and more about the “spirit” of playing. These hilarious games include lots of friendly heckling, people falling down, themed date nights, and post-game snacks. So whether it’s for fun or for competition, Delta Chi intramural sports have a place for everyone. We realize the value of integrating athletics in our members because playing team sports is a great way to develop communication, sportsmanship, and resiliency. When trying to explain why intramural sports is so important to a Fraternity of young men, an Alumnus once said, “Sports are more than just playing a bunch of games. Rather, they're contests for respect, and teams are about competing for something greater than any single individual." |
