Wreck the Deck

In the first few weeks of fall semester, Delta Chi hosts our annual Wreck the Deck party. So named because of its tendency to destroy our deck in the back yard with crowds of people, Wreck the Deck is an all weekend party featuring our house DJs one night and a band on the second.

In the first few years the party was held, various parts of the deck were destroyed. Seven years ago the side railing fell off, and five years ago the center post snapped, creating a giant wooden trampoline and forcing us to clear people off the deck early. Each time the deck breaks it is rebuilt stronger, and the current deck could probably withstand some sort of nuclear catastrophe. As such, we haven't had any problems in recent years.

Wreck the Deck is open to anyone who knows a brother, and is generally one of the largest parties on campus in the fall.
