White Carnation Formal

Delta Chi's White Carnation formal is held once a year in the spring. Formal is an all weekend event held in another city.

The chapter and their dates travel to the location on Friday afternoon. Most brothers generally ride together on a charter bus. Saturday is typically spent exploring the city, which sometimes includes planned tours or activities. In the evening a formal dinner is provided, followed by a formal dance with a band.

Previous locations have included New Orleans, Asheville, Charleston, and Savannah. Formal dinner and the dance is included in semester dues, and other activities or travel is usually subsidized as well. This past year, Delta Chi members and their dates traveled to New Orleans for formal. We stayed in a hotel in the French Quarter, and everyone had a great time.
